“Mars Lost” is a science fiction novel set on Mars, following the story of Robert Austin, who wakes up with no memory of the past 20 years, only to find himself in a strange and confusing situation. With the help of his friends, Rosa and Walt, Robert learns of the events that occurred in the colony, including the arrival of two groups of colonists and the emergence of a separatist group called the Quadrians, led by a man named Aaron Hoffman. Hoffman used advanced technology to convince people that there was a native Martian culture, which allowed him to take control of the colony and isolate his followers from the main group. Hoffman’s reign of terror includes systematic killing of children, and his wife Lydia, who is in charge of security, longs to escape from his control. After Robert regains his memory, he must form new alliances and make hard compromises in his unwavering mission to reconnect with his family and Earth.
